A durable cladding board with a 15mm horizontal ship-lapped joint, pre-primed and easy to install, Stria™ cladding is the fast way to achieve a timeless look – that’s smarter construction. Stria™ cladding can be used in residential applications wherever a classic yet contemporary design is required, including external walls in full wrap or composite construction, upper-storey and ground-level extensions, along with internal feature walls.
Available in 325mm and 405mm widths, the boards are 14mm thick with shiplap joints that leave 15mm-wide horizontal grooves for strong, clean lines. Introduce design versatility into your home by varying the application and switch between widths, orient the boards vertically, or panelise them with the vertical flashing stop accessory.
The ability to employ a cavity construction system in conjunction with the right insulation, adds to energy efficiency and helps moisture management. The range of corner finishing details – aluminium cap, mitred or Scyon™ Axent™ trim – allows a variety of different looks to be achieved. For example, easy-to-cut mitred corners mean that horizontal lines wrap the building seamlessly. Alternatively, Axent™ trim can provide a contrast.
Made from advanced lightweight cement composite, Stria™ cladding will maintain its integrity and general appearance significantly longer than timber. Unlike many timbers, Stria™ weatherboards will resist shrinking, swelling, warping and cracking when exposed to the elements.
Not only does James Hardie™ provide a 25-year product warranty on Stria™ weatherboard, but Wattyl® Australia offer a 15-year paint warranty on Wattyl® Solagard when used on Stria™ cladding.
