NHS Thermoseal is a reflective foil wrap that protects your home's frame from weather during the building phase, then improves energy efficiency and comfort after you move in.
Suitable for use in residential timber and steel framed construction, NHS Thermoseal is generally recommended for use in warm climates where the risk of condensation formation exists as the temperature of the outside environment rises, while the inside of the home is cooled.
Please note, NHS Thermoseal is an “unclassified” water barrier, so is not considered a vapour-permeable product.
As a general guide, reflective foil laminates require an air cavity adjacent to the reflective surface in order to generate an air-gap R-Value. If the membrane is to provide a continuous air tight layer, all joins, penetrations and discontinuities should be sealed.
