Gary Foxall of Accord Construction Group uses Scyon to work the Three Birds Renovations magic on a fibro home ripe for demolition.
The Three Birds Renovations team have an impressive reputation for delivering stunning before and after renovations in a fresh yet classic style. Builder Gary Foxall has worked on several of their
projects, including House No. 5 in Baulkham Hills.
Cladding Against The Clock
The schedule for transforming this fibro cottage into a chic family home was just nine weeks. That’s a pretty tall order for building an extension, wrapping the entire house and revamping the interior, so Gary was glad to be using a product like Scyon that’s easy to work with. “They’ve done everything right to make sure it’s easy to install,” says Gary. “From getting nice clean cuts with their saw blades to how the fixings work, it’s a product that’s simple to work with which saves you time.”
Style Indoors and Out
Thanks to its stylish lines, Scyon works just as well on the inside of the cottage. Having used Linea boards to get that charming weatherboard look outside, Gary and his team were impressed with the clean finish they achieved on the internal walls with Scyon Stria. “The fixings are hidden so it works really well as interior cladding,” says Gary. “It’s more hardwearing than gyprock/plasterboard, and gives you nice, even lines, either throughout the room, or for highlighting a feature wall.”
A Finish You Can Rely On
Working with a premium range like Scyon, Gary really notices the difference in performance compared with similar materials he’s used before. “The Linea boards are sturdy, and with them being end-matched, it makes joining them a quick and easy process. This leaves the joints more uniform and less noticeable. It saves a lot of time and gives my clients what they want - a really high-quality, polished finish throughout the property.”
