Sisalation® Metal Roof MD (433) is a sarking from Fletcher Insulation specifically designed for commercial or residential metal roof applications. The strong, reinforced, pliable membrane acts as a secondary skin against draughts, moisture, vapour, wind, heat and dust penetration – particularly effective when overlapped and sealed with an aluminium foil tape.
Due to the foil-paper composition of Sisalation® Metal Roof sarking, externally generated noise is appreciably reduced, thereby improving the acoustic ambience of the home. It also contributes to the thermal performance of building systems, enhancing comfort levels for the occupants.
Although Sisalation® incorporates two reflective foil-paper laminates in its construction, one side of the membrane has an anti-glare coating to minimise reflected gleam during installation. Metal Roof MD (433) sarking has a flammability index of ≤5 and a BAL 40 rating, so can be used in bushfire prone areas in accordance with the Australian Standards.
