The Wood Elements softwood deck screw is designed to fasten callitris cladding boards without pre-drilling. With a built-in drilling tip, the stainless steel screw is easily located without splitting or tearing the timber. The small diameter countersunk head features under-head pockets to pick up protruding chips, and this allows the head to be sunk easily and cleanly.

Given austenitic stainless steel cannot be hardened, a grooved shaft has been incorporated to enhance screw strength, virtually eliminating the prospect of the screw head tearing off.
