Typical Applications:

Cornice Cement is typically used for substrates in residential construction. A shorter setting time is sufficient for small projects whereas Cornice Cement 90 is ideal for larger jobs, or where decorative cornice is being installed. This extended working time allows the user to enjoy a longer period between mixes, and also more time to get the finish right for any detailed areas.

Product Description

Gyprock Cornice Cement 60 is designed to adhere and finish cornices to plasterboard or fibre cement walls and ceilings. With good initial grab, it provides high bond strength after setting. It can also be used for finishing cornice joints and mitres and laminating sheets of plasterboard together.

Being a setting compound, as opposed to an evaporative drying type compound, Gyprock Cornice Cement 60 has a working life of 50-60 minutes after mixing. It has an unstabilised setting time that can be readily accelerated by adding a small amount of set plaster (crushed gypsum core).
