James Hardie™ Axon™ is a vertically grooved cladding panel that looks sharp and smooth, offering a pristine visual that lasts. It is well suited for use in residential applications wherever a modern design is desired, including external walls in composite construction, upper-storey and ground-level extensions, eave or soffit lining, and internal feature walls.
The stepped shiplap on the long edges of Axon™ cladding means sheets are easily installed. Just like timber, sheets can be fixed using a brad nailer, improving efficiency and maintaining aesthetic integrity. Pre-primed sheets mean less paint and time is needed to achieve a high-quality finish, streamlining the whole finishing process. By design, sheets are sized to fit common wall frame sizes, which means less cutting and less waste.
Axon™ cladding can also be used to add texture, available in either smooth or grained surface finishes, the sharp and consistent vertical grooves are a design alternative to typical horizontal features. Made from James Hardie™, it will resist shrinking, swelling and cracking to hold paint longer than wood, and can therefore be painted using dark or light colours.
