Product Description

Manufacturers of this product are transitioning to a smooth dressed product from the more textured rougher header (or laser cut) product which has micro grooves. During this transition period we may supply you treated pine in a mixture of the two finishes. If you need a specific finish for your project, please discuss with us prior to ordering.

A structural and appearance grade timber, treated pine is used for general purpose construction, chiefly in above ground outdoor applications. Extensively used for the construction of decks, pergolas, verandas, carports and the likes, structural treated pine simultaneously delivers strength and appearance.

H3 treated pine is a timber which has been impregnated with a chemical solution containing two key components – fungicide and insecticide – providing protection against borers, termite attack and moderate fungal decay throughout Australia. This highly effective and long lasting protection makes treated pine a robust choice when exposed to the elements.

Anywhere treated pine is cut, notched, rebated or drilled, the unprotected area must be re-sealed with a suitable timber preservative to ensure the treatment envelope remains intact.

Structural treated pine is handled using the same safety precautions as untreated timber. Typically that means gloves, dust masks and glasses should be worn at all times when working with H3 treated pine.

Treated pine sawdust and off-cuts are not classed as hazardous material and can be disposed of as normal landfill waste. However, it’s important that treated timbers are not used as firewood or burnt.
