USG Boral Shaftliner is now mould resistant

USG Boral Shaftliner Mouldstop MS

The USG Boral Shaftliner™ 25mm fire-rated plasterboard panel now includes MouldStop (MS) to prevent the growth of mould.

Shaftliner™ panels are specially manufactured plasterboard developed for use in USG Boral systems such as Partiwall®, IntRwall™ and Shaftwall™ systems.

As you may know, USG Boral Partiwall systems for multi-residential developments are simple and fast to install.

Shaftliner is lightweight and easy to cut – just score and snap. Manufactured from Australian gypsum, it is safe to use on worksites.

And now with the addition of Mouldstop, shared internal walls will resist mould growth that may result from wet weather before your project is roofed.

Independently tested in accordance with ASTM D3273 and ASTM G21, Shaftliner Mouldstop MS exhibited zero signs of mould after 28 days.

Performance details of USG Boral Shaftliner MS

Fire
Achieves fire resistance of up to 4 hours when used in fire-rated systems. Fire tested to achieve the least fire hazard Group Number for wall and ceiling materials as defined by BCA in BRANZ assessment No. FH 3473.

Acoustic
Shaftliner MS, when used in a fire-rated system, can also provide required levels of sound insulation to achieve specified acoustic ratings.

Mould
Shaftliner MS contains the added advantage of mould resistance and showed zero signs of mould growth when tested in accordance with ASTM D3273 and ASTM G21.
