Steel Alternatives to LVLs
There are applications where an alternative to LVLs can be considered, and many of you have come to us to try to find solutions to deliver projects on-time. When installed according to suitable construction methods and engineering, steel lintels are great substitutes for applications like large openings (eg garage door openings) where structural timber like an LVL would be used.
Galintel® J-Bar*
The Galintel® J-Bar Shelf Beam is the ideal solution for cavity walls, either double brick or brick veneer with timber trusses.
This product has a special top flange incorporated into the upright section, the J-Bar provides an off-the shelf solution for cavity walls and is fully engineered, and hot-dip galvanised.
