Product Description

Picket fences bring a warmth and charm all of their own, they can meaningfully transform any property and are a great way to achieve an authentic period style look. The design of picket has quite a bearing on the projected character and the Colonial profile picket, sometimes referred to as a Windsor profile, conveys subtle sophistication from a bygone era.

With a copper, chromium and arsenic (CCA) preservative treatment applied to the raw timber during the manufacturing process, they’re protected from fungal decay, borers and termite attack. Coated with a high quality primer afterward, these treated pine fence palings are delivered to you ‘top coat ready’, ensuring a full weather seal and saving a load of preparation time.

Anywhere the pre-primed treated pine paling is cut, rebated, notched or drilled, the exposed area must be re-sealed with a suitable timber preservative to maintain the integrity of the treatment envelope.

Although not classed as hazardous material, off-cuts of treated, primed or painted timber should not be burnt, but instead disposed of in council approved landfill or incineration sites. In addition, the sawdust and shavings should not be used for mulch or animal bedding.
