USG Boral Rebrands as KNAUF

Known simply as ‘Knauf’, the distinctive blue branding of KNAUF will gradually replace the USG Boral brand in Australia in 2022.

Knauf Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of plasterboard and ceiling products, building systems and construction materials. Knauf Group entered the Asia Pacific market in the 1990s and has since expanded its operations to become an industry leading brand. Our new friends are a family-owned global business with experienced, talented, and diversified people operating over 30 production facilities across the APAC region. They deliver high-quality products required for the construction of sustainable, safe and comfortable buildings.

Knauf will continue to offer the same range of products and service you trust, with the global knowledge and expertise of Knauf. Only the names of products and services will change. Eg. ‘Knauf SHEETROCK®’ ‘BIM WIZARD®’ and ‘Knauf TecASSIST™’.

What to look forward to

Knauf’s aim is to be the market leader for safe, healthy, and comfortable design of living spaces.
With transition to the new brand name underway, Tony Charnock, Managing Director Knauf in Australia reassures existing customers, suppliers and partners with regards to changes to the name.
“Now we are part of the Knauf Group, one of the world’s leading innovators and manufacturers of modern building materials, we look forward to continuing the established relationships we have with our customers,” said Charnock.

“The synergies between the two brands ensure the transition to the new name will be seamless and our customers will receive the same high-quality experience they have come to expect, with access to locally manufactured products that meet Australian standards. We have manufacturing facilities in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and will continue to supply plasterboard, compounds, cornice and associated products and systems to the Australian building industry through a national distribution network of 40 company-owned trade and retail outlets.

”I wish to reassure all of our existing and future customers that, as part of the Knauf Group, we remain one of the best suppliers for the Australian construction industry,” stated Charnock.
