R Flor Particleboard flooring

The team at APP (Australian Panel Product), also known as Borg, hadn’t been thinking of R ratings with R Flor flooring, being that the focus was thermal insulation, and have realised as a result the product also have the added feature and benefit of meeting BAL29 requirements.

Low, unenclosed subfloors, according to APP, can present a high risk because embers can get underneath and are harder to extinguish. So R Flor can not only add thermal benefits but also deliver fire resistance. Bonus!

Normal residential requirements is for a19mm thick board, at 450mm centres, which is stocked at NHS.
