Product Description

Hardwood lining board provides an attractive and economical way to line the interior of any building. It affords design freedom, ease of handling and the warm aesthetic of a natural Australian timber species.

Available in the popular tongue and groove v-joint profile, this blackbutt hardwood lining board will become an integral part of the overall building design aesthetic. Lining boards are suitable for use internally in both residential and commercial applications, typically for feature walls, bulkheads, ceilings and doors.

Blackbutt is a eucalyptus that grows in the coastal forests of New South Wales and South East Queensland. As with most natural timber products, colour variation within the blackbutt timber species is normal and one of its most appealing characteristics. Generally a pale brown to slightly pinkish tone, with an even texture and straight grain, blackbutt hardwood lining boards are sure to complement any space.

With a smooth, dressed finish, this v-groove lining board comes pre-oiled. Recoating and any further preparations should be carried out in accordance with the finish manufacturer’s specifications. The longevity of these lining boards largely depends on the level of exposure to elements such as sunlight, in combination with an appropriate maintenance routine. With proper installation, care and maintenance, blackbutt lining boards will virtually last a lifetime.

Blackbutt has a remarkable level of natural fire resistance. It’s inherent fire retarding properties meet Australian Standard AS3959, and so can be used in bush-fire prone areas without any treatment.
