Product Description

Treated pine logs deliver outstanding strength – they’re ideal for small and large scale fencing, retaining walls and landscaping applications.

With a copper, chromium and arsenic (CCA) preservative treatment applied, these H4 pine logs are protected from fungal decay, borers and termite attack. A robust choice when exposed to the elements, they are suitable for above and in-ground applications throughout Australia.

CCA treated pine logs fit a wide range of applications including retaining walls, garden structures, fence posts, rural fencing, stables, sleepers, garden edges and planter boxes. They are completely safe to use for vegetable gardens, but it is recommended root crops such as carrots and beetroots be planted away from the edge timbers.

Anywhere the treated pine log is cut, rebated, notched or drilled, the exposed area must be re-sealed with a suitable timber preservative to maintain the integrity of the treatment envelope.

CCA treated pine is handled using the same safety precautions as untreated timber. Typically that means gloves, dust masks and glasses should be worn at all times when working with H4 treated pine logs.

Treated pine sawdust and off-cuts are not classed as hazardous material and can be disposed of as normal landfill waste. However, it’s important that treated timbers are not used as firewood or burnt.
